That opening scene was so good. Such an intense and suspenseful horror-thriller with great acting and directing. The performances were so good and performed basically without speaking using sign language. John Krasinski did fine job directing this film too. There were a few moments when the movie doesn't really follow the rules that it set before, like the noise that would have attracted monsters before not working on certain situations. And maybe a few too many jump scares to my liking but overall the movie was good enough that I could forgive those. I Watched this in a small theater with my brother and we got some extra fun out of a lady destroying her popcorn so loudly next to us, with this film being so quiet and people on screen trying not to make a sound her munching sounds were just so loud and funny.
This year's best so far for me.

There were so many interesting scenes that the film jumped into and rushed through so fast. And made them basically someone challenging Wild Bill and getting shot. And then it was just waiting for the dead man's hand and the shot to the back of the head. The performances were good, Bridges especially was great as Wild Bill. The made up Jack McCall backstory was just weird addition to the story. It's always fun to spot the regular faces on the cast of Hill's films.
