Really beautiful looking Finnish movie that I've wanted to see for a long time. Visually stunning movie that has wintry Lapland as its setting and has a vampyric witch that turns into a white reindeer killing men in the wild.

Great acting by every actor/actress, especially by Denzel and Viola Davis. Mykelti Williams was also a scene stealer .This movie was really play-like which really wasn't that surprising since it is based on a play. This leads to a moments that feel kinda weird in a drama movie with the theatre acting.

The movie has lots of references to the games which were fun to spot. The movie had also few good moments, like the scene where the main character uses "weapons" straight from the games and the scene is filmed in one long take. I was originally really looking forward to this after I heard that Rob Riggle was going to be Frank West in this. But he has quite small role sitting in a news show but atleast he has some good Frank West-lines. And instead of Frank we follow some young reporter dude through the movie. Other rome that I was really looking for was Harley Morenstein's biker gang member but his role is also a small one. The movie could have added some psychos from the games to be different from other small budject zombie movies. Now it really is just one of the numerous not that good cheap feeling zombie movies.

The three leads are great and so is Kevin Costner. Jim Parsons was good but he was really distracting because he has the same look here as he had in the Big Bang Theory. The story is interesting and the movie has some powerful acting-moments in it.

I laughed few times to Nick Frost, Tom Wilkinson's old man wheeze laugh and Dave Franco's stupidity. But overall this was weak formulaic comedy once again.But this was kinda nice balancing movie middle of the Oscar-films.
